Research Assistant
Amelia joined the Centre as a part-time Research Assistant in March 2020. She completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Waikato in 2015. She went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Psychology at the University of Melbourne, and a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences (Hons) at Australian Catholic University. Amelia’s thesis focussed on the effect of alcohol intoxication on prospective memory and executive functioning. In 2019, she was awarded an Executive Dean’s commendation for her achievement during her honour’s degree.
Amelia is supporting Dr Amelia Lake with various aspects of the Messaging to Engage Mothers after Gestational Diabetes in Australia (ME-MaGDA) study. Funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, this study is led by the Australian Centre for Behavioural Research in Diabetes in collaboration with other colleagues at Deakin University and Monash University.
