Around 1.4 million Australians have diabetes. This number is increasing by about 110,000 every year.
Our research aims to improve the health and quality of life of people affected by diabetes. Our findings inform diabetes care and policy.
Our research focuses on three themes:
-
- Optimal physical health
- Optimal emotional health
- Supportive environments
Our research in these three themes is guided by three key questions:
-
- What matters?
- What works?
- What translates?
By answering these questions, we can make a real difference to the lives of people affected by diabetes.
We have already made an impact for people affected by diabetes, but there is still much more to do. We will continue our mission to make a difference in diabetes until a cure is found.
People and partnerships underpin our future success. Support from partners and donors helps make it possible for us to conduct and communicate about our research.
