Almost one in three adults with diabetes has diabetic retinopathy, which can lead to vision loss and blindness. Using best practice research methods and intervention design, we developed two guides tailored to older (aged 40+ years) and younger (aged 18-39 years) adults living with type 2 diabetes. Presented in an engaging format, each guide contains evidence-based information, designed to promote optimal eye health care and encourage uptake of retinal screening.
The leaflets were developed with funding from Vision 2020 Australia, and in collaboration with Diabetes Victoria.
The current version for young adults (aged 18-39 years) is available here and the other for adults aged 40+ years is available here.
