Steve is a cognitive psychologist with a PhD awarded by The University of Sussex. He joined the Centre in 2013 to provide a cognitive focus to complement the Centre’s health and clinical psychology expertise. His research interests focus on: the role of prospective memory and attention in diabetes self-management; the impact of diabetes self-management and new technologies (e.g. ‘closed loop’) on cognitive functioning; perceptions of ‘apps’ to support diabetes self-management. Steve also has a strong interest in road safety and is currently developing two field studies investigating Australian drivers who use insulin to manage their diabetes.
